Tomahawk Take Editor’s Note: The Atlanta Braves posted on all of their social media accounts this morning a photos of the Turner Field Final Season patch that they will wear the entire season.  This patch will sit nicely on the right arm shelve.  I’m sure MLB Shop will be putting these jerseys with the patch on sale soon, but they haven’t yet.

Tomahawk Take Editor’s Note: AJC’s David O’Brien spoke with Braves outfielder Nick Swisher at the Wild World of Sports about his healthy, the 2016 season and arriving to camp without his credentials.  The 35-year-old is looking to gain a spot on the 25-man roster for the 2016 season.  His veteran leadership within the clubhouse and is ability to play the outfield (maybe not as good as he once could with both bad knees) and first base, make him have a great chance to make the Opening Day roster.

"“Driving in I parked in the wrong parking lot, I came in and everybody’s asking me where my credentials were, I’m like, bro, I don’t have them!” he said. (As a rule I rarely use exclamation marks in anything I write, but in the case of Swisher they seem most appropriate, as an attempt to convey the energy and volume he had while talking to us.) But it’s just nice to get here, nice to be part of a fresh, new start for me. Just having a full offseason behind me and getting myself healthy enough to take on that 162 grind is a good feeling upstairs to have, at least.“This organization is making a lot of moves, so I just want to go out there and do my part.”When asked about his health and the condition of his knees: “It’s been two years, guys. I’ve been trying to get back on the field for two years, and I’m finally back to that point. You guys can be the judge of that.”"

Tomahawk Take Editor’s Note: A fully healthy Nick Markakis…something Braves fans haven’t seen yet in Atlanta.  Markakis batted .296 with three homers, 38 doubles and 53 RBI’s after offseason neck surgery.  He says in the video below that he suffered pain for three straight years in his neck and he’s finally feeling healthy.
