Two weeks ago, when I last took us through the playoff races, I opined the following:
"“The Angels’ hope hinge on sweeping the Twins… or at least taking 3 of 4. If they do so, then suddenly they will be in the conversation…”"
Of course, I also said that I didn’t think that was going to happen. Guess what? They took 3 of 4.
Moreover, they’ve built on that success and have now won 6 straight to get within a scant half-game of the Wild Card… and never mind that: the Angels can still win the AL West division outright as they play the Rangers four times to end the season.

Nice scheduling.
There’s 5 or 6 games still remaining in the 2015 regular season, depending on the team, and a lot still left to be decided. Tonight’s game between the Pirates and Cardinals has already been rained out, which sets up an even better scenario: a day/night double-header on Wednesday!
Gotta love this time of the year – no matter who you root for.
Adding to the drama will be Sunday’s game timings, which you’ve probably heard already: every game starts at the same time, which means the scoreboard watching will come fast and furious – no waiting on West Coast games; no early end to the mayhem if an East Coast club wins… or loses… early.
