On Tuesday former Atlanta Braves superstar, Dale Murphy, visited Charlotte, North Carolina as he did radio spots, TV hits and attended the Charlotte Knights vs the Gwinnett Braves game.  Murphy signed autographs for an overwhelming amount of Braves fans before the first pitch, then he left to throw out the first pitch, then came back to sign more autographs!

This was a great opportunity for older fans to relive some of their fondest memories of watching Murphy and the Braves in the 1980’s as well as young fans to get a former All-Star’s autograph and meet a legend of the sport.
Murphy played in 18 major league seasons and won the NL MVP in 1982 and 1983. Â He was drafted by the Braves in the 1974 MLB draft in the first round and fifth overall. Â He was a seven-time NL All-Star, a five-time Gold Glove winner, and a four-time Silver Slugger. Â He retired from baseball in 1993 with a career batting average of .265, he collected 398 homers and 1,266 RBIs.
Thank you for having me and thanks to all who came out tonight! Fun night! https://t.co/0tLNBRMDGu

I was one of the hundreds that stood in line to meet Dale Murphy on Tuesday and extremely glad I did. Â He left his stand to go throw out the first pitch in the game prior to me meeting him so I waited patiently with the others until he returned. Â He arrived back about 30 minutes after he left with a smile on his face and ready to sign more autographs for his fans.
My wife and I finally got to meet him and shake his hand…we only missed 3 innings of the ball game – it was worth it!
