Tomahawk Take Editor’s Note: The Atlanta Braves fell to the St. Louis Cardinals in game two of the three game series on Saturday. Shelby Miller pitched another fantastic game, but the offense wasn’t able to get him any run support. Cardinals starter Carlos Martinez shut the Braves down. The 23-year-old pitched eight inning, giving up six hits, one walk and zero runs.

Braves activate two-time All-Star Freeman from disabled list
Tomahawk Take Editor’s Note: The 25-year-old first baseman is back!! Freddie Freeman returns to the Atlanta Braves clubhouse and was in uniform Saturday night. He arrived to the St. Louis ball park around the 2nd inning and had one at-bat. Freeman is in the starting lineup on Sunday batting fourth and playing first base.
"One game was all the rehab assignment Freddie Freeman needed.The Braves’ two-time All-Star first baseman was activated from the disabled list Saturday ahead of the day’s game in St. Louis. He had missed 29 games with an injured wrist.Freeman played in a game for the team’s Gulf Coast League club Friday, getting two RBI on two hits in four at-bats, including a home run."
Braves recall Daniel Castro, Adonis Garcia to fill out roster
Tomahawk Take Editor’s Note: After sending Juan Uribe and Kelly Johnson to the New York Mets on Saturday, the Braves called up infielders Daniel Castro and Adonis Garcia. Both players are having a good season in Gwinnett and will get their chance to prove themselves. Garcia is in the starting lineup for Sunday’s game playing third base and batting fifth.
"The Braves recalled infielder Daniel Castro and outfielder Adonis Garcia , the team announced on Saturday. Both players will join the team before Saturday night’s game against St. Louis.Castro was hitting .264 in 66 games at Gwinnett. He got a hit in his only at bat with Atlanta earlier this year.Garcia was hitting .284 at Gwinnett. He was 0 for 1 with Atlanta earlier this year."
