Atlanta Braves options for Bronson Arroyo

Bronson Arroyo trying to tough it out does not surprise me as I’m sure he’s battled some sort of injury during his 14 year career of which, prior to undergoing Tommy John surgery, did not have 1 single stint on the disabled list.  We can say that his endurance was “Everlong” (zing!), however his health has likely been aided by supplements that even Arroyo himself questioned their legality (article from Deadspin’s Dashiell Bennett from 2009):

"“I take 10 to 12 different things a day, and on the days I pitch, there’s four more things. There’s a caffeine drink I take from a company that (former teammate) Curt Schilling introduced me to in ’05. I take some Korean ginseng and a few other proteins out there that are not certified. But I haven’t failed any tests, so I figured I’m good.”"

The money quotes do not stop there in that article of which Arroyo goes on to throw many under the bus and if you think I was insensitive up top, I’d suggest to not click on the link.  Arroyo is honest and some might find that refreshing but for many in Braves country, they might not like the “I cheated once and I have no regrets” mentality. I guess we shall see how fans respond to our most recent cheaters in Arodys Vizcaino and Andrew McKirahan after their 80 games have elapsed.

So now that we know a little bit about Arroyo, what can the Braves do with him?
