As I wrote earlier today, Atlanta Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman has been sidelined since last Wednesday night (in the 7th inning) with a sprain right wrist. Â What was only missing maybe a game or two has now turned into four games and could be more.
The #Braves haven't made an official decision about Freeman, but it sounds like there's a strong possibility he'll be placed on the DL.

If Freeman is indeed placed on the DL, Joey Terdoslavich would fill his roster spot.

It’s yet to be determined how bad his wrist sprain is, but this is just what I suspected.  Give him time to rest and not force his return. According to webmd.com, wrist sprains have three levels of severity.
- Grade I: Pain with minor damage to the ligament
- Grade II: Pain, more severe ligament damage, a feeling of looseness to the joint, and some loss of function
- Grade III: Pain, a completely torn ligament, severe looseness of the joint, and loss of function
Braves made the move late Monday night – Freeman to the disabled list and Joey Terdoslavich to the big leagues.
Great for JoeyT, if you remember his first big league homer earlier this year when he was called up.  I’m looking forward to seeing what he can do with the Braves this time around.  He can play the outfield and first base.  Terdoslavich was currently batting .194 for the Gwinnett Braves.
After the MRI on Sunday, a few fans saw him out on the town with his wife Chelsea. Â He was spotted at a restaurant and at the grocery store.
