Jose Peraza making the Braves opening day roster?
Doesn’t sound that way. Peraza will not be on Atlanta roster come April 1st as said by Braves President of Baseball Operations, John Hart.
Peraza is the Braves #1 prospect this year but is probably a half a year to a year away from making the big league roster. He’s never played above the Double-A league and will need more seasoning in the minors.
He did enter the game on Wednesday to play second base but went 0-2 at the plate. He’ll get time at both second and shortstop this Spring Training.
He’s known for his exceptional speed, defense and contact hitting. He’ll fit right in with the Braves desperate need for a leadoff man.
John Hart (on @680_The_Fan): "we're going to take a good long look at Peraza. I think going in, no he's not going to make our club" #Braves
