Okay, this is truly getting out of control. Wrigley Field is hosting NHL Hockey, as did Fenway Park and Yankee Stadium before. The Miami Beach Brawl… er, Bowl was played Monday inside Marlins Park. The Trop in St. Petersburg – where nobody wants to play or watch baseball in – is going to host the “St. Petersburg Bowl” on Saturday Night… not the best venue for my Alma Mater, but… whatever. Even Pac Bell Park is gonna host a football game.
I’m getting a little tired of this – baseball is being left out. Heck, the next thing you know, they’ll even start playing basketball on aircraft carriers or something.
It’s time that baseball got into the act! A couple of attempts have been made already, but it’s time to “go big” on this idea: let’s take baseball on the road… or onto the farm… or something.
So here are a few ideas for exhibition baseball games to do just that.
