AFL Update: Last Chance for Peoria (LIVE)

Underway:  Peoria vs. Surprise for the Division Title

Peoria Javelinas (14-14-3) vs. Surprise Saguaros (16-14-1).  Braves’ pitcher Aaron Northcraft (ERA 2.79) is on the mound.

As I write this, the game is now underway in the desert and Surprise is coming up in the bottom of the second inning – no hits so far (4 K’s of Peoria hitters in 6 batters, in fact, thanks to Nick Howard (Reds).

If Peoria wins, they will be in the Championship game against Salt River.  If they lose, they’re done.  Edward Salcedo – who suddenly has a 12 game hitting streak – is in the lineup for Peoria.  No other Braves are in the lineup at this point.
