If The Atlanta Braves Get Rid Of One, It Will Be…

The Atlanta Braves were a major disappointment in the second half of the 2014 season with an inconsistent offense and not getting the timely hits when needed.  The lineup was filled with free swinging hitters who seemed to all go cold from July to September…and a few from March to September.

Once the final out was made in Philadelphia, we all started to look ahead to 2015.

Things we already know…Frank Wren was fired, Greg Walker, the Braves hitting coach, left on his terms, members of the scouting team were let go, John Schuerholz, John Hart and Bobby Cox will serve has intern GM’s until a new one is found and Fredi Gonzalez will return as Manager.

During and after the announcement of “The John’s” and Bobby as intern GM’s, the term “the Braves way” kept coming up.  As things start to fall into place, does this new way mean the front office will try to revamp this lineup?

I think they must…

The front office has plenty of work to do this offseason…in the offices and well as on the field.  We need to get back to playing baseball instead of going for the home run ball.  To do that, they must try to transform this team with players who can do this.

We all know the holes from the 2014 team (we already got rid of Dan Uggla) but who do you think can improve in 2015 and help this team back into the playoffs?  Who had the down-year and who is just bad?  Can a new hitting coach help with some guys and not others?
