The Atlanta Braves defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers on Wednesday night 3-2.  Right after the victory, the Braves sent out the tweet below.  Relief pitcher Juan Jaime will be sent back down to the Gwinnett Braves.  He hasn’t pitched well for the Braves, he’s allowed five hits, two runs and five walks in eight innings pitched since being recalled by the Braves.
So we ask the question, who’s getting called up or who did the Braves trade for?  Let the speculation begin…
RHP Juan Jaime has been optioned to Triple-A Gwinnett. A corresponding move will be announced tomorrow.

I see a few options in the minors here for the Braves or they could have made a trade…
Luis Avilan – The former Braves left handed relief pitcher who they counted on mightily in the past but has had a very struggling 2014 season.  He is currently with the Gwinnett Braves but hasn’t pitched well there either since being sent down.  He has a 5.40 ERA in nine games, with seven earned runs and 11 walks in 11.2 innings pitched.  From tweets sent out last night, Mark Bowman and David O’Brien both think Avilan is the pitcher who will be called up.  My Prediction – No
#Braves Fredi G said LH Avilan's recent appearances at Triple-A have been solid; expect him to be the guy called up tomorrow

Either I’m looking at the wrong stats or Fredi is because in Avilan’s last five appearances, he’s given up six walks, four earned runs, nine hits with only four strikeouts.  Those stats don’t equal solid to me….
Ryan Buchter – The 27-year-old lefty is currently pitching for the Gwinnett Braves.  He’s appeared in 44 games this year with a 3.70 ERA and a 2-3 record.  In 56 innings, he has given up 48 hits, 23 runs and five homers.  A downside, he has struggled with walks this season.  He has 38 walks and in his last 10 games, he has eight.  My Prediction – No
