Twitter has done it again!  The great media site has reported the news for us!
The Atlanta Braves have called up right-handed pitcher Shae Simmons from Double-A Mississippi. Â The 23-year-old has pitched very well for Mississippi with a 0.78 ERA and 30 strikeouts in 23 innings pitched. Â He has recorded 14 saves and holds a 30K/6BB and .183 BAA in 2014.
Shae was drafted in the 22nd round of the 2012 MLB draft by the Braves and contains a 1.43 career ERA with 40 saves.  This is a guy who has never given up a professional home run in any minor leagues he has played in.
The one issue I see is that he’s never pitched above Double-A.
Just received confirmation that right-handed reliever Shae Simmons has been called up. He'll be in the Braves pen tomorrow

Sounds like we will see him in a Braves uniform tomorrow!
With one person coming up, one has to go down…And that person is left-handed reliever Ian Thomas.  Thomas will go back down to Gwinnett to continue working on his secondary pitches.
Since most of you probably have never seen Simmons throw before, take a look at this YouTube clip of him throwing with the Rome Braves.
