Braves vs Giants Tickets 9% Below Atlanta’s Home Average

After tonight’s series finale in Miami, the red-hot Atlanta Braves will host the San Francisco Giants for a three-game series at home this weekend. While the Braves have started the season with a first place record of 17-9, ticket prices will be below average when the Giants come to town Friday night.

Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman has led the way for Atlanta, batting .320 with 32 hits over the team’s first 26 games. Despite a surging start, average price for Atlanta Braves tickets at Turner Field remain relatively low on the secondary market at $69. Prices will continue to drop during this weekend’s series against the Giants.

The Giants have also played well to open the season and have gone 17-11, good enough for first place in the NL West. The first place matchup between Atlanta and San Francisco will not be enough to boost ticket prices on the secondary market, however, as average price for Braves vs Giants tickets this weekend is currently $63, 9% below season average at Turner Field.

Friday night Atlanta Braves tickets will be the cheapest of the series at an average price of just $53 and a get-in price of $8. Saturday night’s game will be the most expensive, with tickets averaging at $80 and a get-in of $13. Sunday afternoon will see an average price of $61 with a get-in price of just $6.

This weekend will serve as the first matchup between the two teams this season. The Atlanta Braves schedule will have the two teams meeting again later this month when the Braves travel west to San Francisco for a three-game series beginning May 12.

As for San Francisco, this weekend’s series will be the first meeting with an NL East team on the San Francisco Giants schedule this season. San Francisco has held its own against the NL West, going 11-8 in divisional matchups. The Braves will host the first three of a six-game east coast trip for the Giants, as they head to Pittsburgh for three games early next week.

Both the Braves and Giants have had stellar starts to the season and fans heading to Turner Field to see the two first place teams square off should take advantage of declining ticket prices on the secondary market. Though the season is still young, a playoff-like atmosphere is sure to be present during this weekend’s series in Atlanta.
