Tomahawk Take Editorial Notes: Â OK, so it was an off night for the Atlanta Braves. Â But it seems like every team has an off day when facing this 21-year-old, Jose Fernandez. Â Fredi Gonzalez decided to sit almost half of his team against this guy. Â Justin Upton, B.J. Upton, Dan Uggla and Chris Johnson all sat and watched Fernandez dominate the Braves. Â This was also after a day off on Thursday of last week and Monday.

Jose Fernandez, Giancarlo Stanton lead Miami Marlins’ rout of Atlanta Braves
Tomahawk Take Editorial Notes:  Tuesday game was ugly and maybe it had a lot to do with Fernandez…the stuff he throws at the plate is nasty.  But the Braves just saw him and have last years film to watch on this guy.  It makes me think – 1. Do we have an offense that can come back in games or is the game over after the opposing team scores a few runs and 2. Do we have an offense at all….
The 21-year-old ace turned in yet another stellar performance at Marlins Park, where he remained unbeaten (12-0) for his career in a 9-0 shellacking of the first-place Braves.
Fernandez gave up only two hits over eight scoreless innings, struck out eight, drove in a run with a hit, and prevented one from scoring with a deft pump fake after fielding a dribbler near the third-base line.
Braves’ Mike Minor to start Friday
Tomahawk Take Editorial Notes:  As Fred spoke last night about Mike Minor,  Mike is set to pitch on Friday against the Giants.  This is great news for the Braves as they already have a very strong rotation and now they insert one of their best pitchers back into it.  But it’s probably going to be bad news for someone.  Unless the Braves go to a 6-man rotation for the time being, the Braves will most likely make a huge decision on who to take out of the starting five.

Atlanta Braves left-hander Mike Minor is set to pitch in the major leagues for the first time this season.
Braves manager Fredi Gonzalez says Minor will start Friday night at home against San Francisco.
The 26-year-old Minor has been slowed by shoulder soreness this season. He’s pitched five times in the minor leagues during rehabilitation games at three different levels.
Scott Carroll Will Endorse ANYTHING!
Tomahawk Take Editorial Notes: Â The White Sox nor Scott Carroll have anything to do with the Atlanta Braves but hopefully I will be forgiven when you watch this video. Â The White Sox are expected to call up Carroll and have him start on Sunday against the Tampa Bay Rays. Â The 29-year-old has spent eight seasons in the minor leagues without ever appearing in the major leagues.
