The Holiday season is pretty full for a particular Atlanta Braves pitcher.
Once the day of Christmas is over, Mike Minor has a birthday party to think of. Â Minor celebrates his birthday on December 26, 1987 as he is now 26 years of age.
Mike was a standout pitcher for Vanderbilt University and was the Braves 1st round pick (7th overall selection) in the 2009 MLB draft.
Now, Minor is a regular left handed pitcher in the Braves rotation and looks to expand his potential in 2014.
As the 2013 progressed before the All-Star break, Minor was having a stellar season and was in the talks to be the NL starting pitcher for the All-Star game. Â But a couple loses and poor performances (pretty much all of June) led Minor out of the decisions and even out of the game.
He finished the year with a 13-9 record and a 3.21 ERA with 181 strikeouts and only 46 walks. Â He eclipsed the 200 inning mark for the first time in 2013 with 204.2.
For 2014, Minor is projected to be the Braves number 2 or number 3 starting pitcher in the rotation.
Happy Birthday Mike Minor!
