Tim Hudson to the Giants? Brian McCann to the Yankees? What is this all about? It can’t be right?

It’s been a few weeks since these transactions happened, but I’ve had to collect myself from them. Tim Hudson leaving blind-sided me. And BMac going to the evil empire….sickening.

With these two gone, plus Chipper leaving after the 2012 season and Bobby is gone now – no one from from the run of 14 straight division titles is still left on the team. Sad.

I like the guys on the team now, sure, but it’s just hard to believe we are so far separated from that era of Atlanta Braves baseball. It hit me when 2013 was the first time we’d won the division since 2005, but this hits home even more.

Who is the leader of the team now? JHey? Freddie? They’ll have to take the reigns because two of the key cogs in the Braves roster for nearly a decade have left. It’s not their fault, or the Braves. It was the right call on both ends…just a sad time.
