It’s never too early to start dreaming of spring baseball, and we’re all one step closer to that reality now that the Braves have released their 2014 Spring Schedule. According to a tweet from the official Braves’ Twitter account…
The 2014 Braves spring training schedule is out. Games begin on 2/26 vs. DET at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.

Never mind that it’s just November. After that initial tweet, a number of successive tweets followed, each one getting me more pumped baseball. I love the Hot Stove season, but I always feel a touch lost in the off-season when I cannot watch baseball every single day. If you didn’t see the tweets, I’ll share them here, and hopefully all our readers will get just as pumped as I am….
Pitchers and catchers are scheduled to report to camp on 2/13, with their first workout set for the following day.

Of course it remains to be seen who those pitchers and catchers will be at this point. While we have a great idea about who most of them will be, there will be some possible surprises, and that’s what the Hot Stove season is all about. So, while we can’t exactly enjoy baseball daily in November and December, we can study the game, keep up with off-season trades and strategies, and build the mental and emotional momentum for the coming spring!
The remaining Braves players are scheduled to report on 2/18, with the first full-squad workout slated for 2/19.

The #Braves will play two exhibition games against the Red Sox: March 7 in Ft. Myers and March 22 at Disney.

On 3/29, the Braves will travel to State Mutual Stadium in Rome, Ga. (home of @TheRomeBraves), to take on the Braves future stars.

So fans, mark your calenders now! Even if you’re unable to physically travel to Florida to take in spring games, some of them always air on TV, and of course we’ll be reporting everything you need to know about goings-on in spring.
This will mark the 17th year the Atlanta Braves have trained during the spring at Wide World of Sports Complex in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. I used to go all the time until life and bills got in the way, but if you have never taken a trip to Florida in spring to take in spring Braves’ baseball, you don’t know what you’re missing! If you’re interested in going this year, check out ticket prices and start planning now. For more information, I’ll share this last tweet from the Braves’ Twitter account…
Individual ST game tickets will go on sale on 12/2, at the WWOS box office, at http://t.co/GK81pmgL89 and through Ticketmaster 800/745-3000.
