M- Braves Update

As I wandered around the web this morning I saw a report from Mississippi Braves site that was too late for the Morning Chop but something worth noting.

The M-Braves won a 14 inning marathon victory featuring some of the prospects Chris and Alan have written about recently..

Gus Schlosser’s (2.25 ERA, 1.191 WHIP,  0.3 HR/9, 6.8K/9, 2.85 BB/9, 2.39K/BB)  night may have ended in no decision  but he continued his good work with six one hit, shutout innings allowing only four men to reach on base.

The still hot hitting Tommy La Stella (2-4 with 2 runs scored, .339/.412/.463/.874) scored the first run in the fourth inning on Christian Marrero’s single to center. Then with two outs in the ninth he launched his third homer to tie the game 2-2.

Christian Bethancourt (.292/.320/.462/.782) continued to show improvement at the dish going 2-6 and extending his hitting streak to 16 games and his M-Braves record on-base streak to 40.  Jose Martinez (.295/.354/.384/.738) went 3-7 with a double and Marrero (.238/.375/.392/.767) was 3-6

A pretty good night and some encouraging signs from our prospects.
