The 2012 season may not have ended the way that the Atlanta Braves hoped after reaching the playoffs, especially given it was Chipper Jones’ final season. The team now heads into what should be a busy offseason as numerous questions need to be addressed as they reload for another run next season. Tomahawk Take is focused on providing quality coverage on all things Braves related – news, rumors, insight, and analysis – and our goal is to be part of your daily reading, but we need your help so we’re looking for a few qualified individuals to join the TT team.
Think you’ve got what it takes to help cover the Braves?
Whether you’re a hardcore fan of the Braves looking for a hobby or someone aspiring to establish a career in sports writing, Tomahawk Take is willing to give you a chance. Prior writing/blogging experience isn’t necessarily required (though it doesn’t hurt), all we really ask is that you’re passionate and knowledgeable about the team. We’re searching for individuals comfortable meeting the following expectations:
> Commit to at least one column a week. More is always welcome.
> Help promote and grow the site by engaging our readers through social media (specifically Twitter and Facebook).
We try to cover all aspects of the organization, so there’s always room to bring someone aboard who’d prefer to cover certain aspects of the team – from the minor leagues to stadium promotions and everything in between. We can’t offer any monetary compensation for our Staff Writer position, but there are a number of other non-monetary benefits to joining the FanSided Network and the Tomahawk Take team, including some great exposure for your writing and a growing collection of quality writers to work with.
If you are interested in applying or simply interested in learning more, head on over and complete our network’s application. Be sure to let us know what you feel you could bring to the table that would help grow Tomahawk Take into one of the best Braves sites available. One of our Editorial Directors will be in touch from there.
