Mac Thomason

For those of you who don’t know, Mac Thomason was one of the first online baseball bloggers and for a while now he has been dealing with cancer. Today, I checked up on CAC and found out that Mac was going to be moved to hospice.

This is sad news to hear, and I would just like to ask you all to keep Mac and his family in your thoughts and prayers. His work on Braves Journal has influenced many great writers, and great websites (including Capitol Avenue Club) and without him, a lot of the places you go to get Braves news likely aren’t there.

Earlier this year Braves Journal, set up a  paypal fund to get Mac an iPad while he was in the hospital. People came through with amazing generosity and support. I only hope that we can all do the same thing again, as Mac is dealing with this terrible illness.
