It’s Christmas Eve and I just had a ton of good food, played some football with the cousins (along with basketball, croquet, and fifa 11. I kill at that game by the way). I am definitely not going to be writing on Christmas Day so I thought I might as well throw up a rambling for you guys if your tired of looking at family sweaters or whatever you do on Christmas Day. Yeah if you guys didn’t know I can schedule posts, I don’t get up and write at 5:30 every morning. My Grandpa mentioned something about me writing even on Christmas Eve. It’s awesome that he reads the stuff I write even if he doesn’t know that Jason Heyward’s OBP stunk last year, or even who Jason Heyward is. So here’s a quick shout out to you Grandpa.
First of all I would just like to thank all of you who read Tomahawk Take and continue to read us after you have stumbled upon us. Everyone here is determined to bring you quality Braves content regularly. I also want to thank those others who take the time to make an account and comment on my writing. It’s probably the best feeling to write something and then look at it later and see that someone has liked it (or disliked it) enough to write a quick response. I love all kinds of comments even if you want to say that I’m a moron and completely wrong on the subject and know nothing about the Braves or even baseball for that matter. So bring on the heat, I dare you. Haha but seriously guys thanks for the feedback.
I just had some quick thoughts and random little things and questions I wanted to bring up with you all.
random questions about Tebow, the NBA, Jurrjens, and more after the break.
- How many of you guys could care less about any of the NBA games tomorrow? I know I won’t be watching any and I honestly think the NBA is becoming a joke. The players pretty much make GM’s trade them where they want to go and it’s not even fun to watch. I’ll take UNC games all day over the Clippers, no matter how many times Blake dunks.
- Are you all tired of the Jair Jurrjens rumors? Or more specifically are you tired of hearing about all the teams interested in Jair Jurrjens and then countless trade speculations involving each and every team rumored to be interested in him (including a couple by me…)? I mean of course teams will be interested in Jurrjens, the only thing we won’t know is the extent of their interest.
- Speaking of Jurrjens how many of you think the Orioles are on some type of banned substance? I mean did they really think we would trade Jurrjens AND Prado AND one of our top pitching prospects for Adam Jones? Come on.
- Who likes Tim Tebow? He gets a lot of hate but he has won some games, is fun to watch, and definitely gives kids a better role model than Michael Vick. I am a fan of him. I’m not going to say he’s a top quarterback, I’m not an expert on the NFL… What do you guys think about him?
- Who is going to land Yoennis? I really hope it’s the Yankees because then they might flip Swisher to us… and I really hope it’s not the Marlins. That offense just wouldn’t be fair.
- Would you rather have a classic Christmas Dinner or a Thanksgiving Meal today? I have talked about this with a bunch of people and so far the consensus is Thanksgiving again. I mean who really likes ham more than turkey? 5 year olds maybe, but that’s a stretch still.
I guess I should probably wrap this up. I don’t want your eggnog to get warm on you. Have a merry Christmas everyone.
