OK, I couldn’t resist this follow-up to my earlier post on Chipper’s recovery. Fred and I both saw a tweet earlier today about this, then I saw it appear on AJC.com. Chipper literally KNOCKED THE COVER OFF THE BALL in batting practice today. Wow!
He reportedly told Frank Wren “That’s what you’ve got to look forward to this year”.
For those doubting his comeback, he has this quote: “Tell them I’m going to be in the opening day lineup.”
