What to Look For:
A changed Braves lineup. Brooks Conrad has been benched in favor of Troy Glaus, who is starting at third. Jason Heyward has been moved to sixth in the order. Changes might not make a huge impact in one game’s worth of time, but the chance is there, and having Conrad’s defense out of there is an upgrade in itself, no matter how Glaus handles third. Madison Bumgarner has the first-look advantage and the stuff to make it a long night for the Braves. How they handle the first few innings after last night’s loss will be big.

My Take on the Opposition:
Just a little older than the Braves right fielder, Madison Bumgarner has what it takes to pitch a game clincher. In his last six starts, he has allowed more than one run just once, and that was two runs to the Brewers. Over that stretch, he has walked six and struck out 34. Bumgarner doesn’t have a ton of strikeouts in his 111 innings this season, but you can’t look at it too hard. He has a tremendous walk rate for his age at 2.11 BB/9. He’s fastball/slider with a show-me change and curve. The slider, change and curve have been good to him this year. Bumgarner has never faced the Braves.

Braves Lineup:
1. Omar Infante
2. Matt Diaz
3. Derrek Lee
4. Brian McCann
5. Alex Gonzalez
6. Jason Heyward
7. Troy Glaus
8. Rick Ankiel
9. Derek Lowe
