As expected the Braves activated Martin Prado from the disabled list today. Prado is in the lineup and playing third base. It appears that he is the most likely candidate at this point to get the shot at replacing Chipper Jones as he was also slotted in the number three spot in the batting order.
Prado was given the choice of playing second or third and chose to play third because he won’t have as many exchanges from glove to throwing hand at third in an effort to protect that injured pinkie finger. Omar Infante now seems to be a part of the regular lineup with Brooks Conrad returning to the bench. Infielder Brandon Hicks was optioned to Triple A Gwinnett to make room on the twenty five man roster for Prado.
