Beachy gave up three doubles and four singles in five innings, not walking any and striking out seven. Another solid start for Beachy. O’Flaherty appeared in his first rehab outing and gave up a double but left him on and struck out two. Scott Proctor, Stephen Marek, and Craig Kimbrel each pitched a scoreless inning. Gwinnett has a solid staff at the moment. Freeman and Canizares carried the offense tonight.

Not much to report. Yeliar Castro walked four and struck out three in three scoreless innings. Benino Pruneda struck out two in a scoreless inning. Juan Abreu gave up an unearned run in an inning of work. Jordan Schafer recorded a double.

Matt Kennelly: 2-3, RBI
Rasmus allowed all four of his runs in the first inning, including two homers. Otherwise he pitched four shutout innings and didn’t walk any. Wilson appeared in his first game for Myrtle Beach after a call up from Rome and did well. Jones and Kennelly were the only offense for the Pelicans. Luis Sumoza and Gerardo Rodriguez each picked up a double.
Augusta 7, Rome 4

David Hale: 2.1 IP, H, K
Steven Kent: 3 IP, H, 2 K
Philip Gosselin: 1-5, HR, 3 RBI
DeVall was knocked around again for seven hits and seven runs in less than four innings. Hale finally managed some control by not walking anybody. He had previously walked 12 in his last four outings. Eric Curley added three singles. Otherwise the offense was dead.
Danville 11, Bluefield 3

Ryan Delgado: 2-5, 2B, HR, 2 RBI
Joseph Terdoslavich: 1-4, HR, 2 RBI
Northcraft managed to walk four and allow just one run in six innings. He scattered four singles and struck out four. The four walks brings his season total to nine in 52.2 innings. Andrelton Simmons added three singles and an RBI. Barrett Kleinknecht added a double and RBI. Terdoslavich is hitting .368 in his last ten games with two homers and eight RBIs. He has two homers and six RBIs in his last three games.
GCL Phillies 15, GCL Braves 4

It’s safe to say Hess didn’t have his best stuff today. Victor Cadette went 2-4 with a triple. Matt Lipka added a single and walk.
DSL Tigers 4, DSL Braves 3

Ignacio Geronimo: 2 IP, H, 2 R, 2 BB, 2 K
Armando Alcantara: 1-4, 2B, 2 RBI
Only one run the Braves allowed was earned. Sauceda pitched a great game, scattering two singles and an unearned run in seven innings. Geronimo finally gave up runs but they were unearned as well, though he did walk two in two innings.
