Jurrjens completes rehab stint at Gwinnett

Jair Jurrjens looked sharp through the first three innings of his six inning stint facing the minimum nine hitters. He then preceded to allow four runs and seven hits over his next three innings and has left many with the question as to whether or not he is ready to return to the rotation.

First and foremost he seems that he is healthy as he reported no lingering problems with the hamstring. The alarming part of the equation is that he wasn’t pitching well before he got hurt and he did nothing at the Triple A level to really give you confidence that he is back to last year’s form.

Still it appears that his next start will be back in Atlanta some time next week.

McLouth still hurting

McLouth is still experiencing concussion like symptoms stemming from his outfield collision with Jason Heyward back on June 9th. He underwent a CT scan this week and there is still no timetable for his return.
