Braves first base prospect had an MRI exam on his knee Tuesday and will be examined by team doctors on Wednesday. Freeman hurt the knee stretching for a ball at first base. Freeman is considered by many to be the Braves heir apparent at First Base.
For the season he is hitting .261 with 5 homers and 24 RBI all with Triple A Gwinnett.
*UPDATE*
Per the AJC, the MRI exam on Freeman’s knee revealed no structural damage and just a muscle strain. So nothing but good news. Freeman is considered Day to Day.
