Atlanta Braves Might Trade Rafael Soriano To Rays

Yahoo Sports reported earlier today that the Atlanta Braves and Tampa Bay Rays are in heated discussion about a possible trade for Rafael Soriano, but ESPN has the Braves denying that there is interest in the relief pitcher.

When it comes to signing a big-name power hitter, the Braves unfortunately have been pretty silent on that front. There have been very few, if any, rumors of the Braves having interest in Jason Bay or Matt Holliday.

Although the Braves shored up the bullpen relatively quickly, the discussions of signing a power hitter obviously show that the Braves just don’t have the cash to get either of those two players on the team.
