The Atlanta Braves swept the Philadelphia Phillies in an exciting final game that had Garrett Anderson popping a home run after some solid hitting by the Braves late in the game.
The Braves are now two games out of first heading to the All-Star break, a pleasant surprise considering everything is not perfect yet. Javier Vazquez is still pitching lights-out but getting no run support.
What the Braves needs is to sweep the Washington Nationals before the All-Star game, and head into the break with a six-game winning streak. The Braves are coming off a really tough road run in which they went 7-6, pretty respectable considering they played the Yankees and Red Sox in that group.
