Again despite the loss, their was and has been another success story or two on this Atlanta Braves team.

The bullpen, and in particular the back end has been fantastic so far in the 2020 season.

Shane Greene has been brilliant thus far, Josh Tomlin has steered the ship back a couple of times already and AJ Minter has looked better than he has at any point over the last few seasons.

With the starting pitching problems that the Atlanta Braves have that we talked about earlier, who knows where we would be if it were not for the pitchers listed above?

None of that also takes into account that maybe the best of the entire group Will Smith just made his season debut yesterday in game one of the double header against the same Philadelphia Phillies team.

It’s ironic that the team has done almost a 180 degree turn over the last 12 months as the starting pitching last year could not rely upon the bullpen at all to hold a lead. So far, in 2020 that has not been the case.

So that concludes the 4 game set with the Phillies and the teams managed to split it. The Atlanta Braves now travel to the Bronx to take on the New York Yankees in a quick two game series beginning Tuesday night.

Next. On the road again. dark
