10. Tampa Bay Rays

The Rays pitching comes at you in waves, but as we saw first-hand. If your pitching can limit their bats, you can stay in contention and have the upper hand.

9. Chicago White Sox

The White Sox are what I like to consider the NL version of the Padres. a loaded system that is ready to produce and I expect both to be contenders all season long.

8. Colorado Rockies

No doubt the surprise team this far in the season has to be the Colorado Rockies. The real surprise though is how good the Starters have been as they have a 2.00 ERA as a unit.

7. Oakland Athletics

Those pesky Oakland Athletics are gonna do it again in 2020. Just when you think they are due for a down year, they play great ball again and they will be a tough out in the playoffs.

6. Houston Astros

The bullpen is a mess and Zack Grienke has looked terrible so far. Combine that with the outlawing of trash cans, and you have the recipe for the Astros to come back to earth in 2020.

5. Chicago Cubs

Maybe we all underestimated the Cubs going into the season a tad bit. Although it’s probably a bit unfair to expect Jon Lester and the rest of the pitching staff to stay this good the whole season no matter how abbreviated it will be.

4. Atlanta Braves

Despite it seeming like the Mets outplayed them two of the three games, the Atlanta Braves found ways to win, but obviously they need to find who is going to start behind Mike Soroka and Max Fried.

3. Los Angeles Dodgers

I do not condone throwing at anyone’s head, but Joe Kelly…you get an award for being the courageous one enough to send a message to the Astros.

2. Minnesota Twins

Without a doubt, probably the best lineup in the entire game, the question will be all year if their pitching can hold up in a series against the likes of the Yankees and Astros. We will probably get that answer in about two months.

1. New York Yankees

The only hole in this team is the pitching behind Gerrit Cole, but even then, it is still not that bad. Also, Aaron Judge is back and healthy and that’s even more scary for the rest of the league.
