What SPs can be counted on

Right now we know Mike Soroka, Max Fried, Mike Foltynewicz, and Sean Newcomb will be in the starting rotation.

With King Felix opting out and Cole Hamels apparently still dealing with an injury, this opens up the door for others to get in the rotation.

I haven’t heard much about Kyle Wright in Summer Camp, but he was throwing the ball great in spring training and we’ll likely slide into that fifth spot if Hamels isn’t ready.

Josh Tomlin is almost certainly going to start the season with the team on the 30-man roster to help fill some innings.

Bryse Wilson also has a chance to piggyback some starters early in the year, as well as Touki Toussaint.

Tucker Davidson is someone I was really high on in spring training and he’s on the 40-man roster already. We could see him get a shot as well.

I’ll be focussed on Wilson, Touki, and Davidson the most to see how their used (if at all) to gauge just how close they are to earning a spot in the rotation to start the season or be one of those piggyback starters.

I’m not sure if Ian Anderson gets a look in any of these games, but I think we could also see him make his debut this year.

The Braves will likely need seven or eight starters to get through this 60-game schedule, especially if Snitker is going to piggyback starters the first couple of times through.
