Infielders

75 – Travis d’Arnaud – Silver

The Braves’ big offseason acquisition at catcher does not rate well on The Show. He’s tied as the 14th best catcher on the game, which actually might be about right, but I think the Braves are hoping for better than that after signing him to a two-year, $16 million contract.

Seventy-five is also the rating for former Braves’ catcher Kurt Suzuki.

As for Tyler Flowers, he has a 72 rating on the game. I certainly hope there is more separation between him and d’Arnaud this season.

87 – Freddie Freeman – Diamond

As you might expect, Freddie Freeman is rated as one of the best players in The Show and is what they call a “Diamond” card player.

Right now his card is going for 25,500 stubs (in-game money), which is by far the highest among first baseman in the game.

I would say the game was on point with this one, and it’s about time Freddie got the respect he deserves.

83 – Ozzie Ablies – Gold

This was one the first “best” cards I got in my pack openings and I love using Ozzie Albies. However, I do think his rating of 83 is a little low considering I think he’s set to become possibly the best second baseman in the league in 2020.

Jose Altuve leads second baseman with an 85 rating. D.J. LeMahieu (84), and Jeff McNeil (83) are the only other second baseman ahead of Ozzie (or tied in the case of McNeil), and all of them are more expensive on the marketplace to buy.

Ozzie deserves better and should at least be an 84.

75 – Dansby Swanson – Silver

It’s not a good look for Dansby Swanson in this game as he’s the 26th rated shortstop (shortstop isn’t the primary position for everyone rated ahead of him). But they do have players like Amed Rosario (77) and Jose Iglesias (78) rated ahead of him.

I agree he doesn’t belong in that top 10 tier, but I’d think he should be in that 10-15 range with a 77-78 rating.

72 – Johan Camargo – Bronze

If the third base battle were up to The Show, they’d go with Johan Camargo. But it’s not like they love him with a rating of 72, which would put him as one of the worst third baseman in the game.

As for Austin Riley, they gave him a rating of 70. And if you’re wondering about Josh Donaldson, he rates 10 spots higher than Camargo at 82 (Gold) and is currently going for just over 2,000 stubs.
