2020 Prediction

Yes, the Atlanta Braves lost out on Josh Donaldson who played a huge part in the success Freddie Freeman experienced in the 2019 season, but having Marcell Ozuna behind him this year should allow nothing to change there for him. He still has adequate protection backing him up in the lineup.

Another great quality about Freddie is simple. The fact that he hardly ever misses time due to an injury. The only lengthy absence he has experienced so far in his career is after an Aaron Loup fastball found his wrist a few years ago causing him to miss weeks. Other than that, Freddie has been a prime example of showing up to work and getting the job done.

Assuming Freddie Freeman has another typical year, he should easily surpass the 250 career home run mark this year, and should pass 1,500 career hits by mid-May at the latest. With a little luck, he will even surpass 50 career stolen bases this season. He only needs seven more, after all.

At the end of the day, Freddie Freeman will show up and put up great numbers and lead the Atlanta Braves back to the playoffs.

In fact, I will go ahead and make a prediction. Freddie Freeman will win the 2020 NL MVP award and finally be recognized among the current greats of the game where he rightfully belongs.

Next. The best Braves ever. dark

For many reasons, many people outside of “Braves country” do not realize how good Freddie is day in and day out. It’s time they learn. Hopefully they have a reason to pay attention in 2020 and take notice.
