5 players Atlanta Braves could trade for during the season

The Atlanta Braves are still navigating themselves through the current offseason. But we look ahead to potential trade targets during the 2020 season.

It’s now a new year with a new season looming so we look at some possible players in June or July who could be of interest for the Atlanta Braves.

Obviously there is still plenty of time before opening day, and for that matter before spring training is set to begin, and the Atlanta Braves still have tons of options to consider while filling out the rest of the roster.

In this piece we are going to try and examine five possible players who the Braves and their front office could look to swing a deal for before the 2020 trade deadline.

Tons of things are still in play as we examine this list, such as are the Braves even going to be in position to buy at the deadline.

Obviously, if we are not, tons of things have gone wrong and we will be writing and reading a whole lot of other kinds of articles.

Let’s for the sake of this piece though, assume everything is going as planned and we are once again buyers at the deadline.

As we have already mentioned, it’s sort of hard to pinpoint what the Atlanta Braves will be after though if we do not even know where the roster will stand at the start of the season.

I for one, am going to assume that the Braves get some sort of a bat between now and spring training, whether that’s Josh Donaldson or not.

At the same time I also think we will add at least one versatile bench piece. Other than that, I don’t know what the Braves might do.

In my eyes, that would leave an outfield spot and another starting option as places we could possibly be looking to upgrade, but who really knows? Besides, one injury could derail all plans and change the entire script.
