New York Yankees

Could the New York Yankees be looking for a fixture in their outfield? One would certainly have to think so.

I mentioned earlier that this year’s free agency class is lacking a good center fielder, and that is proven true by the fact that the best one may be Brett Gardner, who is obviously a former Yankee.

Reports stated at the onset of free agency, Gardner and the Yankees both have a mutual interest in a reunion, but as of today, nothing has been agreed upon.

Could that leave the door open for a rare Yankees-Atlanta Braves trade?

If I may add more fuel to the fire that I’m starting here, Aaron Hicks is reportedly out at least a month at the start of the season, leaving Clint Frazier, Aaron Judge, and Giancarlo Stanton as the only three good options on the Yankees current 40 man roster.

That doesn’t even begin to mention the fact that Frazier might well be gone too before long.

Besides all that, the Yankees could still use Ender as a fourth outfielder or DH. Also, it’s not like that before mentioned group of players has been the poster child for health to this point.

Maybe with the short porch in right field at Yankee stadium Ender could pop a couple of “cheap” home runs and approach the 20 home run mark for the first time in his career?

It would certainly be an oddity to see these two teams match up on a trade, but it is something that I believe could possibly happen.
