1. It’s simply our time

More from Tomahawk Take

I’m not getting into the recent playoff history for the Atlanta Braves here, we all know it. I will point you to a recent article our own Matthew wrote about our playoff history with the St. Louis Cardinals, however.

Above all else, it simply feels like this is the year we break through and, at worst, win at least one playoff series.

If not now, when? Is a fair question that will be asked.

Last year, we weren’t supposed to be in the picture at all, but yet there we were. Let’s be honest though, we were completely overmatched by the Los Angeles Dodgers.

This year, it all feels different. It feels like we are the hunter and not the hunted.

For the first time in years, we are the favorites in a playoff series.

Many things can happen in a short series that can define your whole year. The Atlanta Braves need to take advantage of the things they can control and grasp it.

For the first time in years, I feel good about the Atlanta Braves as we enter the postseason. Hopefully, all the little things go right and we can do some more celebrating.

Let us know in the comments below the reasons why you think the Atlanta Braves will defeat the Cardinals and advance to the NLCS for the first time since 2001.
