2. Home field advantage

Suntrust Park needs to be loud both Thursday afternoon and Friday afternoon. It needs to be rocking like it was when Ronald Acuna belted a grand slam last October.

For me personally, the loudest I have heard it was when Rafael Ortega belted a grand slam against the Dodgers in August. It needs to be like that for 18 (or more) innings these next couple of days.

I think Braves country is up for the task and it will be.

It’s a little bit more important when you look at the record for the Atlanta Braves at home this year, and the St. Louis Cardinals on the road.

They are as follows

  • Atlanta Braves 50-31 at home
  • St. Louis Cardinals 41-40 on the road

So as you can see, the Cardinals are barely over .500 for the year on the road, which would also tell you, they are strong at home.

Therefore, the Braves need to jump out in front early at home and take control of this series before we go to their house.

So with these two out of the way, we are going to jump into the third one. It’s a bit more out of our control though.
