20. San Diego Padres

The Padres have already broken the team record for home runs in a season. As I have mentioned many times on here, they need this young pitching to step up and they will be a force real soon in the National League

19. Chicago White Sox

The White Sox are playing good baseball right now and play the Braves at the end of this week. Before that though, they can try and play havoc with the Twins and their Central division lead.

18. Arizona Diamondbacks

The Diamondbacks were obviously glad to see Robbie Ray return from the IL and look just as good as he did before landing on it. The Diamondbacks continue to hover within a game of the .500 mark

17. San Francisco Giants

The Giants at this point would probably just love to send Bruce Bochy out with a winning season in his final season. They currently sit at .500 even on the nose

16. Texas Rangers

Old Braves pal Kolby Allard since going to the Rangers is pitching pretty good ball. He pitched 6.1 innings of shutout ball against the White Sox Saturday evening.

15. New York Mets

It certainly feels like the Atlanta Braves are the team that is single handedly making the playoffs as tough as possible for the Mets. The Mets are red hot against everyone else but are only 1-5 against the Braves in the last two weeks.

14. Milwaukee Brewers

The Brewers are still clinging to playoff hope but the pitching has been abysmal. Jeremy Jeffress just had to go to the injured list and the team Designated Jhoulys Chacin for assignment.

13. Philadelphia Phillies

If you have playoff dreams, you cant lose two out of three to Miami, but that is exactly what the Phillies did this weekend. They play the Mets this upcoming weekend in what may turn out to be a loser of the series gets eliminated from playoff contention.

12. Boston Red Sox

The Red Sox, much like the Brewers, are clinging to playoff hope but the Red Sox are going to need at least one good long winning streak to stay in the hunt. They cannot afford any 3 or 4 game losing streaks at this point.

11. Chicago Cubs

Just when you thought the Cubs were going to help the Braves out, they went and blew the game against the Nationals again Sunday. The Cubs now for the first time in a while have a little ground to make up in the NL Central.
