3 Takeaways: Max Fried, Freddie Freeman keep winning streak alive for Atlanta Braves

1. It would be lovely to score some runs via the small ball game
I know it’s the way the game has gone and every team does it, but I do get a little nervous that lately the Braves seem to be relying on the long ball and haven’t scored a lot via hits and sac flies.
On the current five-game winning streak, the Braves have scored 24 runs and only 8 have not come via the long ball.
Again, every team is in the same boat, and truthfully the Atlanta Braves are mostly constructed to be a power team. I just hope its nothing that could come back and bite them in October in a series.
We all know how important every run can be in a short series in the playoffs so the Braves may want to try and score the more old school way some too.
While we are at it, I do like the fact that the Braves are running more lately as I’m a big fan of putting pressure on the defense.
So this a small plea — let’s get them on, move them over, and score. Although the home runs aren’t bad either.
That’s the recap from the Braves fifth straight win. The same two teams will be at it Tuesday night as the Braves will throw Bryse Wilson against the All-Star Brandon Woodruff. Hopefully the Braves can stay hot and collect another win in the process.
