Game 2-Bryse Wilson (1-0, 6.14) vs. Brandon Woodruff (10-3, 3.67)

It was an encouraging last start for Bryse Wilson, who allowed only two earned runs over six innings against the Phillies on July 3rd.

Since being called up on June 26th, Wilson is 1-0 with a 5.21 ERA in two starts.

Even with his impressive performance against Philadelphia, it does seem like Wilson is just keeping this spot warm until a trade is made. Furthermore, Wilson might very well be auditioning for other teams with these starts, too.

Tuesday’s start will be his first against the Brewers, so Wilson has not faced any player in their lineup.

Milwaukee will send All-Star Brandon Woodruff to the mound, who has established himself as the ace of the Brewers staff this season.

In his last five starts, Woodruff is 2-2 with a 3.21 ERA and has allowed a combined two earned runs over his last two starts.

For his career, Woodruff is 0-0 with a 2.25 ERA in one career start against the Braves.

However, in that start, he allowed two earned runs and those came off solo home runs by Freeman and Acuna.

If the Braves can win this one, that should be considered a steal. Wilson has been good, but Miller Park is not a great place for a guy who has allowed nearly two home runs per nine innings.

The Brewers win this one.
