11. Texas Rangers

The Rangers have now won 13 of the team’s last 20 games and are the surprise team in the AL. The bad news is Hunter Pence looks certain to take a trip to the IL with a groin injury.

12. Cleveland Indians

Much like the Red Sox, the Indians did what it had to do and swept the Tigers this past weekend. The Indians are still in the hunt for the crowded AL Wild Card spot, but the Twins are making the AL Central be a pipe dream for the Indians

13. Colorado Rockies

The Rockies and Padres decided to break out football scores this past weekend at Coors Field. Pitching was optional in that series. Much like always, the Rockies have the bats but what about the pitching?

14. Arizona Diamondbacks

Braves fans may not like this, but the fact is Ketel Marte should be the NL starting second baseman over Ozzie Albies in the All-Star game next month. Marte is tearing the ball up in the desert this year.

15. St. Louis Cardinals

The Cardinals helped the Atlanta Braves out to close last week. They beat the Mets 3 out of 4 and are still lurking right behind the Cubs and Brewers in the NL Central.

16. Oakland Athletics

This team is unbalanced this season. I suppose that’s why they currently sit at .500. One week they are making a run and the next they go on a losing streak.

17. San Diego Padres

On one hand, you scored 44 runs in a 4-game series. On the other hand, you went 2-2 in those four games. That’s exactly what the Padres did in that offensive series against the Rockies.

18. Washington Nationals

Max Scherzer is finally starting to get the results he has deserved all year as, despite the Nationals record, he has been pitching extremely well still. The good news is it looks like the Braves will miss him and Strasburg next weekend.

19. New York Mets

The Braves opponent starting Monday. The Mets did however just lose Noah Syndergaard to the IL right at a time when he was really starting to get it going — tough break.

20. Los Angeles Angels

The Angels split a series with the Rays and swept the Dodgers this past week. Granted, it was only a 2-game series, but still, impressive.
