3. Ronald Acuna is on fire

Ronald Acuna wasted no time Monday putting the Atlanta Braves ahead on the scoreboard as he hit a bomb off Andrew Suarez on the first pitch of the game.

Over the course of his last six games, Acuna is 10-for-25 with 3 home runs and 7 RBI. He also has a modest 6-game hitting streak currently.

It might just be pure coincidence but Ronald just seems more confident batting out of the leadoff spot to me. Maybe it’s the fact that he is also playing center field?

Whatever the case may be, I say we leave it alone.

Another stat on how well Acuna is playing right now is the fact he has scored 9 runs over his last eight games.

I’m sure the Braves will take that ratio over the final 3/4 of the season. No doubt that when he is on, Acuna is the most dangerous leadoff man in the game. Another weapon the Braves happily possess.

One last note on Acuna, if he hits like he did Monday night every time he wears glasses…the Braves may require he wear them permanently.
