Game 2 – Mike Soroka vs Trevor Richards

I’m really starting to love Mike Soroka day as he is so much fun to watch. The young righty has given up exactly 1 run in each of his 3 starts this year.

In his last start he probably could have gone seven or eight innings as he was dominating that Padres lineup, but he was pinch-hit for because we needed runs.

He’s made one start against the Marlins and gave up 5 runs (1 earned) on 8 hits and 1 walk with 7 strikeouts in 4.2 innings.

Castro had a great game against him going 2-for-3, while Granderson and Brian Anderson both had a double off of him.

Trevor Richards has really struggled in his last three starts giving up 13 runs. And he’s really struggled with walks all season giving up 18 free passes in 33 innings.

He as not sharp in his only career start against the Atlanta Braves giving up 5 earned runs on 10 hits and 2 walks over 4.1 innings.

Acuna had a pair of hits, including a home run, off of Richards. Johan Camargo and Charlie Culberson also had a pair of hits against him.

Everybody on the Atlanta Braves roster who has faced him has a hit against him, so hopefully that continues on Saturday.
