Game 1: Robbie Ray vs. Max Fried

TUESDAY, 7:20PM

Robbie Ray had one great season with the Arizona and that was in 2017, when he made the All-Star Game.

Other than that, it has been an injury-riddled career for the talented left-hander.

He is 0-1 on the season with a 3.52 ERA. He has 22 strikeouts to 11 walks.

His 3 starts have come against the Dodgers (3 runs in 5 innings), the Padres (2 runs in 5.1), and the Rangers (1 run in 5 innings).

Ray is 0-2 with a 4.11 ERA in his three career starts against the Braves, but the numbers tell a different story.

Max Fried, who has been spectacular as of late, goes for the Braves.

Fried is 2-0 on the season with a 0.00 ERA and in his last two starts (both wins) he has allowed seven base runners in 12 innings.

Only Wilmer Flores and Luke Weaver have faced Fried.

At this point, it’s tough to go against Fried.  Look for the Braves to be patient as Ray gave up walks in bunches during his 1st 2 starts.

The Braves win this one.
