21. Arizona Diamondbacks

The Braves next opponent is about where everyone expected them to be at the moment. Hey, and good news Braves fans…we get to miss Zack Greinke.

22. Boston Red Sox

The bad news is Mookie Betts and Chris Sale have looked off so far. The good news is they have a ton of talent and are only 1/2 game out of second in the AL East. They will right the ship.

23. Cincinnati Reds

The Reds acquired talent to compete in 2019, and so far it hasn’t worked out. However, Sonny Gray has looked decent for his new team so far.

24. Chicago White Sox

The White Sox have some pop in their lineup but the rotation is terrible. Remember that Adam Eaton trade? It might be a lose-lose for both teams so far as none of the players involved have taken off.

25. San Francisco Giants

Take everything I just said about the White Sox and reverse it. The Giants have the worst lineup in the league and solid pitching. They just can’t score runs at all. It would be nice to see Bruce Bochy end on a good team … but I don’t think it’s going to happen.

26. Kansas City Royals

The bad news started with the Salvador Perez injury before the season and just hasn’t gotten much better. Brad Keller has been a bright spot though.

27. Toronto Blue Jays

The team is void of a lot of talent and plays in a tough division. But, Vlad Guerrero Jr will be up soon, as not all is lost north of the border.

28. Colorado Rockies

Who saw this coming? No one is more surprised that the Rockies are tied with the Marlins for last in the league in runs scored and Arenado just yesterday (Sunda) hit his first home run. They also have yet to win at home this season. Better days ahead.

29. Miami Marlins

Miami is just 2-10 after a 2-2 start. Jeter and company knew this was coming though, so hopefully, the Braves just beat up on the Marlins this season some more.

30. Baltimore Orioles

Let’s make this a feel-good ending. Hooray for Chris Davis who broke an 0-54 streak at the plate Saturday. Even with that big contract, and even if he has a job most of us would love, no player should endure that.

So that’s how we rank them this week. We will do it all again next Monday in our next edition of the MLB power rankings. Let us know who was too high and who was too low in the comments below.
