Atlanta Braves: Where do we stack up in the MLB Power Rankings?
By James Kunkle
11. Cleveland Indians
The Indians desperately need Francisco Lindor to get back soon, although Braves fans are hoping it’s after this weekend. Also, Corey Kluber has looked awful to start the season so far.
12. Los Angeles Angels
The Angels beat up on the Brewers and then lost Mike Trout to a injured groin. Let’s hope he comes back soon and healthy because he is fun to watch.
13. Los Angeles Dodgers
The Dodgers who started the season off red hot, are proving inconsistency is always a concern. I’m sure they are happy Clayton Kershaw makes his season debut tonight.
14. Washington Nationals
Not able to prolong a winning streak (a good thing) so far, they are entrenched at .500 and fourth in the NL East. Don’t blame Anthony Rendon though, as the third baseman is off to a roaring start.
15. Pittsburgh Pirates
The Buccos pitching staff is getting the job done, just as it has been in years past, can the offense keep them afloat is the question.
16. Oakland Athletics
He doesn’t hit .300, or anything besides .247 for that matter, but Khris Davis can mash some home runs. He leads the league with 10 so far.
17. New York Yankees
Not able to get going so far, but you can look directly at the Injured List and tell why. You could make a team with the players on it and it would be a good team in itself.
18. Detroit Tigers
Still early, but good for the Tigers to be above .500 so far. Many thought this would be the team at the bottom with the Orioles.
19. Texas Rangers
Three wins followed by four losses is not how you keep momentum. Good luck to our old friend Shelby Miller though who is trying to refigure it all out.
20. Chicago Cubs
It just hasn’t gone the Cubs way so far in 2019. Now Jon Lester is on the IL. Jose Quintana and Yu Darvish need to bounce back for the Cubs to have any shot in a loaded NL Central
