He has been mentioned a time or two, but Adam Jones really hasn’t been explored heavily as an option. With a seeming light market this offseason, he could possibly be a player the Atlanta Braves could even get for a bargain.

While Jones is not a great example of plate discipline, he has a quick bat that can generate power, and he’s had just one season under a 100 OPS+ over the last decade. Jones is 33, but with the ability to hit .265-.285 with 30 doubles and 20 home runs, he could be an excellent one-year flyer for the Braves.

Though he’s not really had full-time work in the last three years, Gerardo Parra has shown very well for the Colorado Rockies over that time. He’ll be 32 early in the 2019 season, and while he’s not a guy that would likely hit 20 home runs, he has good contact skills from the left side that could put together 25-30 doubles and 10+ home runs and likely for less than what Nick Markakis would get paid for similar production.

Though he is highly desired on the market, the Atlanta Braves could offer Marwin Gonzalez something many teams won’t – a definite starting spot in the lineup. Gonzalez is able to handle multiple positions, but his extensive work in the outfield the last two seasons would make him a good candidate for the outfield.

Gonzalez again is not a guy who will club 30 home runs, but he does offer 15-20 home run power with good gap power along with the ability to switch hit.
