The Commodore

Kyle Wright is arguably the most decorated prospect in the Braves system.

According to Baseball America, Wright is the third best prospect in the system, and will likely start the season at Triple-A, but a strong spring training might give him some consideration, after he spent last September in the big-league bullpen.

In 138 innings between Double and Triple-A last season, Wright went 8-9, with a 3.91 ERA and a 1.225 WHIP.

When he was drafted in the first round of the 2017 draft, it seemed likely he would make a quick ascent to the majors and that still seems accurate (ignoring the fact that he’s already had a cup of coffee in September).

His stuff most certainly needs more polishing, but he will likely get the call to Atlanta at some point next season.
