Trade Candidates

  • Julio Teheran– Julio as we all know, is a real head-scratcher. If he could ever find some consistency, he may flourish more than he ever has but it may be time to try and let him find that with another team.
  • Tyler Flowers– With speculative reports about a third catcher, could it mean the Braves do a 180 and ship off Tyler after signing him to an extension in late August? I assure you Brian McCann will be part of the Braves in 2019.
  • Johan Camargo– I don’t think they will and I hope they don’t move Camargo (Unless he’s part of a package for a star) but obviously some teams will probably ask considering he doesn’t have a true position for the upcoming season. I expect the Braves will keep Camargo and use him in a super utility role next season.
  • Prospects– The Braves, as we all know, have a lot of prospects and a lot of high end prospects that are wanted around the league. I’m sure the Braves will receive tons of calls, texts, and in person conversations next week about most of them.

Tie a Bow around it

The annual Winter Meetings always conclude on Thursday mornings with the Rule 5 Draft. In fact, other than that event, many of the General Managers and their staffs are already traveling back home by the time this event gets underway.

Most rebuilding teams can maybe select a player or two in the draft and try to get lucky, but I would fully expect the Braves to decline selecting any player this year.

So as you can see, you will need to check back frequently next week cause rumors will be all over the place next week.

It should be exciting to see all the moves around baseball next week and more importantly any move the Braves possibly make.
